Even though a single diagnosis „burnout“ is not existing many are suffering under the feeling of being overwhelmed, the impression not to be able to cope with „it“ any more and under a suffocating and paralysing feeling of a constant excessive demand.
Causes for these feelings of excessive demands are normally multi-layered and very individual.
Each and every one has his/her own breaking point.
If this overstrain is enduring for a (too) long period of time, there is the risk of suffering under a treatment-requiring depression in the end, if there is nothing set against this permanent development.
It is clearly better to fight the individual sources of strain in time and if possible eliminate, or at least reduce them to the maximum possible amount.
One possibility is to seek support and get an overview over the sources of stress to check systematically on which ends oneself could implement changes and improvements.
